Airline Credit Cards, listed alphabetically, with bonus miles!

1.  Alaska Airlines – Bank of America Alaska Air   

  • 25,000 miles after spending $1,000 within three months.
  • Annual Companion Fare from $118, coach only.
  • Earn 3 miles for every $1 spent on Alaska Airlines tickets.
  • Earn 1 mile for every $1 spent on all other purchases.
  • Redeem miles for flights, even partners such as American, Emirates, etc.
  • They also have a Business card, with 25,000 bonus after first purchase.
  • Annual fee, $75 is NOT waived.

 

2. American Airlines –  Citi® Platinum Select® / AAdvantage® World MasterCard®

 

3.  Delta – GOLD DELTA SKYMILES® CREDIT CARD FROM AMERICAN EXPRESS

  • 30,000 bonus miles after spending $1,000 within three months.
  • $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with first three months.
  • Annual fee, $95 is waived the first year.
  • They also have a Business card, with 30,000 bonus miles after spending $1,000 within three months.

 

4.  Frontier Airlines – Barclays

  • 40,000 bonus miles after spending $500 within three months.
  • Up to 10,000 bonus miles on balance transfers (1 mile per $1) within three months. (Be careful, I’ve read these are costly).
  • Earn double miles on Frontier purchases, all other purchases one mile per dollar.
  • $69 annual fee, is NOT waived.

 

5.  Hawaiian Airlines – Barclays

  • 35,000 miles after spending $1,000 within three months.
  • Earn double miles on Hawaiian Air purchases, all other purchases one mile per dollar.
  • 50% off companion ticket.
  • $89 annual fee, is NOT waived.

 

6.  Lufthansa – Barclays Miles & More World MasterCard®

  • 20,000 miles after first purchase.
  • 30,000 miles after spending $5,000 within three months.
  • Earn double miles on Lufthansa purchases, all other purchases one mile per dollar.
  • Annual companion ticket, but not really worth it because of all the fees.
  • $79 annual fee, is NOT waived.

 

7.  Southwest Airlines – Chase

There are FOUR of these card offers: Premier, Plus, and the business version of each.

PREMIER

  • 50,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 within three months.
  • 6,000 bonus points on first anniversary.
  • Earn double points for SW, and one mile per dollar on other purchases.
  • No foreign transaction fees.
  • $99 annual fee, is NOT waived.

The Business Premier has the same benefits.

PLUS

  • 50,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 within three months.
  • 3,000 bonus points on first anniversary.
  • Earn double points for SW, and one mile per dollar on other purchases.
  • $69 annual fee, is NOT waived.

The Business Plus has the same benefits.

 

8.  United Airlines –United MileagePlus® Explorer Card

  • 30,000 miles after spending $1,000 within the first three months.
  • 5,000 bonus miles when you add an authorized user to your account and make a purchase within three months.
  • First bag checked free.
  • Priority boarding.
  • No foreign transaction fees.
  • Two United Club passes (one time use) each year.
  • Earn double miles on United, all other purchases one mile per dollar.
  • $95 annual fee, is waived first year.

 

9.  Virgin Atlantic WorldElite MasterCard® – Bank of America 

  • Get 20,000 bonus Flying Club miles after your first purchase
  • Enjoy up to 15,000 additional Flying Club miles every anniversary
  • Earn up to 5,000 Flying Club miles when you add additional cardholders to your account.
  • Earn tier points along with your Flying Club miles. You get 1 tier point per $2,500 in purchases (maximum of 2 per month) and additional tier points when you fly Virgin Atlantic or our airline partners.
  • Get a second reward ticket for half the miles when you redeem Flying Club miles for a Virgin Atlantic Economy reward ticket (must spend $25,000+ in purchases annually).
  • Annual fee, $90 is NOT waived.
